About Me
I have a confession to make; the about me sections are always difficult for me. I'm super easy going, but that makes it hard to clarify exactly who I am. I'm open minded, I love interesting conversation with like minded and different people alike. I love my music, movies and books, that section on CS is perfect for me. I'm generally pretty quiet, an introverted extrovert as my friends like to say, I thoroughly enjoy hanging out with people but enjoy my quiet time when it comes. I love to travel, I've been away from home for several months now and plan to continue traveling until I run out of money. I enjoy languages, I've tried my hand at Spanish, French, Italian, German and Polish, though my language skills are amateur at best I would love some tips on your local language if you'd like to share. I grew up with four younger sisters, so I'm clean, well kept and respectful. I've loved meeting people on this trip and would love the opportunity to share my experiences with you.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm currently traveling around Europe on a sabbatical from school. My major in University is "Global Multicultural Studies" and I wanted the opportunity to see the world I've been learning about. One of my favorite quotes is, "the world isn't in your books and maps, it's out there." I feel that an education can only teach you so much, it's crucial that you take the chance to experience the world as it is, to meet people from different countries and cultures to understand what life is like for people around the world. All of these experiences you can’t get by staying in hotels or hostels. CS gives you the unique ability to live with the locals and experience the day to day life that touring often omits.
Interests
I wanted to clarify that I mean Soccer, being from the US and all.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: "A Moveable Feast," "The Old Man and the Sea," "The Sun Also Rises," "For Whom the Bell Tolls," all by Ernest Hemingway. All of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's "Sherlock Holmes" books. "Nobody Leaves," by Ryszard Kapuscinski.
Music: Passenger, John Craigie, Radical Face, Elephant Revival, Gregory Alan Isakov, The Lumineers, Mumford & Sons, The Avett Brothers, Yellowcard, Relient K, Switchfoot, Cold War Kids, Counting Crows, The Fray, Ivan B. I appreciate all different kinds of music and am always happy for new suggestions. Movies: I love a good movie, there are obviously the classics; the original star wars saga, the bladerunner duo, the Indiana Jones movies. I also secretly enjoy a good romcom; crazy stupid love, about time, la la land. Some of the bigger blockbusters like arrival, the gambler, the revenant.
With that in mind, my taste in movies, music and books varies widely. I always have suggestions and would love to hear any recommendations you might have.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have a plethora of crazy stories to share with anyone who would like to hear them. That having been said, the most amazing thing I've ever done is probably this trip. At the beginning of last year I decided to take a break from my studies, sell my car, move my things into storage and head to Europe. A thousand random little choices brought me to this point and I plan to keep this random spontaneous trip going as long as I can.
Teach, Learn, Share
The play a bit of guitar, I also sing on occasion. I'm a writer and will happily share what I know. I have a considerable amount of random knowledge as a result of my studies that I would be glad to teach if you would like to know. I would love to learn about your country; it's history, language, culture, cuisine, really anything and everything you can tell me. I'm on this trip to learn about the world and teach people about my country.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I've lived in four states back home and have a lot of knowledge about my country. I would gladly share my experiences from the places I've been and the places I've lived.
