Présentation
À propos de moi
I grew up and went to school in suburban New Jersey. I've spent my whole life volunteering in some form or another. I've worked/served in areas, like social work, medicine, and especially developmentally disabled populations.
This year, I decided that I needed to drop everything and travel in order to learn more about the world and about myself. After graduating, I drove cross country to rural, Western Arizona to volunteer for AmeriCorps, essentially a domestic version of the PeaceCorps. So, here I am! I'm looking to travel, create unforgettable experiences, and see as much of the West Coast as possible.
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
Although I'm new to traveling, I've quickly learned that authentic relationships are the best way to make the most of it. Meeting locals has always been my favorite part of traveling to new places. Its great to have someone that can show (or tell) me how life is lived somewhere else. More importantly, I have a passion for pursuing genuine relationships. Traveling and living life bring unique experiences, so I love listening and learning from people that are willing to share.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres
I love psychedelic rock, classic rock, indie rock, disco, funk, and any kind of oldies. I can also appreciate electronic and rap. Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, David Bowie, Elton John, Tame Impala, Delicate Steve, Earth Wind and Fire, Donna Summer, Hall and Oates.
I love movies that really make me think and also anything with Will Ferrell. The Lego Movie is the perfect intersection of both.
I'm just starting to get into reading, but I'm always looking for suggestions.
Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
I volunteered in the mojave desert for a year with AmeriCorps VISTA. I worked as a community health worker, helping the growing, under-served senior population. As someone from the New York City area, I learned so much about myself and a society, culture, and lifestyle completely different from my own.
