About Me
Hi folks! My name is David and I´m from Germany. I´m a passionated landscape gardener trying to gardening all over the world to collect as much knowledge about working with plants as possible. I love to be out in the nature, surrounded by all the lovely things our planet generates. At the Moment I´m travelling through stunning New Zealand and my next destination is the Boom festival in Portugal. Before I started my travels I used to live in a living community with 9 other people. We lived in a big house where we always worked on projekts like building a veggie garden, building a bar in the living room and so on. So I´m used to share facilities and I know what it means to host strangers in his own home. So I think I´m quite a nice guest as I share a lot of experience of living together with other people :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Well I think there are two obvious reasons why people join couchsurfing. Having nice company and saving money. In my case I joined because of both reasons. I really enjoy having company during my travels and I really don´t like it to be alone for a long time. Furthermore it is very important for me to come in touch with local people. I love to learn about different cultures and different traditions and usually they can give you the best advice about travelling in their home country :).
And of course, as I´m a backpacking traveller I prefer to save money and not to spend money :)
Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to a huge range of music but at the moment I prefer different types of electronic music.
I love all books about plants but my favorite book at the moment is "the Alchemist"
And I´m sorry but I can´t mention a special movie because I watch movies very infrequently. But not long ago I´ve been in cinema to the new version of "the Jungle Book" and I really liked it :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I don´t think i can mention one special thing I´ve done. But I love to bring a smile in every peoples face around me and I´m quite often successful :).
But maybe I should mention that I graduated as the best of my age group and that there was an article in the newspaper about me and my passion about working with plants :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach a lot about gardening and plantknowldge and I´m always open to learn more about that. I love to talk about our fucked world economics system and the opportunities we have to make planet earth to a better place than it is right now.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I defenetly like to cook! Especially in forign countries because I love to learn about other cuisines.
I love to have nice, deep conversations with a glass of good red wine.
And of course I can share all my travel experience :).
