About Me

Lived in various parts of South Korea, mostly Seoul. Moved to Daejeon to continue my study.
20 years old, turning 21 in August if that makes me a little older :)

Couch potato by term-time, a couch surfer on semester break. Residing in the safest (yet untouristiest) region of my country. Hit me in the inbox and it'll make my day!

On a endless quest to be happy, to stay on positive energy. Picking up the guitar. It's demanding me a lot of work, but maybe all worthwhile things are.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To appreciate the kindness of stranger, and to pay it forward. Travelers are some of the nicest people in the world and I'm willing to give in return when I'm on my roots!

To understand the world on a deeper level, including my own country. Still figuring out what my country has to offer. Anyone want to couchsurf with an unlocally local?

Experience various cultures, to make me feel in touch with the world, to make me feel like I'm living. To picture how I would be living had I been born in the very culture I'm visiting.

Music, Movies, and Books

Rock, Blues - Kaleo, Tame Imapala, John Mayer, Hozier and good old soul music. Definitely Pink Floyd. Also an enthusiast of Korean Indie acts

Never Let Me Go by Kauzo Ishiguro

I did go to the theater to hang out, but wasn't a movie person. Then Netflix bombarded me with a whole broad selection but nothing has struck me yet. I'm wide open to suggestions.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Fitted in a travel to Laos and Vietnam during my freshman year, skipping two days of school. The trip was solely decided upon a ridiculously cheap flight, had no plans. But the whole experience made me appreciate sole traveling and got me a light travel bug that I'm ready to activate whenever I can.

Came across a TCK elderly woman in Cordoba, Spain. She asked me if I could speak English. From then on we conversed for six and half hours till midnight covering music, literature, Paris, and all the small talks. Very special how the conversation transcended time, upbringings and bascially everything.

Planning a solo southern africa trip for my summer holiday 2019

I wish to add on more!

What I Can Share with Hosts

My genuine interest to hear from my host :)

What I Can Share With Guests

I offered volunteer tours for the Gyung-Bok Palace, Seodaemun Prison History Hall, and the Amsa Prehistoric Site, 2014-2016. I can share my spin on Korean cultural backgrounds, philosophies, existing values, and what's changing.

Tips to cut down on flight expenses. Besides the days-lasting ferries, the only way to travel abroad from South Korea is to take the plane. I spent nights awake comparing search engines, studying transfer rules of various airlines to figure out cheap, efficient flights. I'd like to exchange ideas.

Countries I’ve Visited

China, France, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Spain, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In

Canada
