Overview
About Me
People typically describe me as curious, calm, and creative. I love learning, am always up to something, and am looking forward to meeting the people of the world!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
How do we get to know new people these days? Everything is so digital. We meet the occasional fine soul at a party, or during sports, or through friends, but in the end we rarely get in some good old analog quality time with people we haven't met before. I get a tremendous amount of energy having just that, and am here to give that back.
Interests
Always trying to learn new things I've collected a lót of hobbies.
Sport wise I mainly do gymnastics, go rock climbing & slacklining, enjoy swimming, love cycling and used to go skate- and longboarding all day.
Regarding crafts, most involve building something. I often work together with artists, creating (the electronics for) their kinetic- and light art installations, but also enjoy many forms of woodworking, and have a history working as a photographer.
Then, evenings hobbies include theater, board games and occasionally a good (or bad) movie (in the 'real' as well as my home cinema), while in the mornings I mostly play the piano, or spend time listening to my amaaaaazing self-made speakers. (If you're curious how good they are - they're better than you think, but you're free to come and judge for yourself!)

Music, Movies, and Books
I tend to prefer my books serious - about how complicated things work, like electromagnetic radiation, or emotions - and my movies very, very weird. Musically; most genres have pretty good stuff, but in general I mainly listen to various forms of jazz, trip-/chill hop, deep house, and calm poetic / spoken word songs.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My best adventure is probably when I spent three weeks hiking beneath Norwegian mountain stars with not much more than a tent on my back, but you can also ask me about being cut in half on a cruise ship in the Tyrrhenian Sea, or the time I almost kidnapped a live penguin.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm probably most curious just getting to know you, but I can also teach you the basics of Lindy Hop, basic juggling, piano and music theory, try to begin to explain how the world of electronics and audio works, share the biggest beanbag you’ve ever seen, teach you all kinds of complicated board games, discuss the wonders of human psychology, and show you around in Rotterdam.
