About Me
Hello my fellow earthling,
I'm David and 25 years old. I just created my first Couchsurfing account to help me fullfill my lifelong dream: to visit all the countries of this beautiful planet and to meet all kinds of my fellow humans, to hear their language, to understand their culture, and create global connections.
I was born in the little country of Luxembourg to Portuguese parents. This allowed me to become fluent in Luxembourgish, Portuguese, German, French, and English. Currently, I'm completing my master's degree in clinical psychology at the Free University of Brussels.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I was a child, my father gave me a globe as a gift. I stared at it for hours, as I understood how big and massive this planet actually is. This is when I wondered how cool it would be to actually be able travel through all those countries I was seeing. This was also when I started memorizing all of the countries places on the globe, their capitals and their flags.
With the internet I got to expand my horizon, talking to people all over the world. Hearing new languages and get to know different aspects of different cultures.
Having some time off, from June to August, I wanted to pay my fellow European sisters and brothers a visit: My plan is to start my journey in Tallinn (Estonia) and travel down through the Baltics and Central Europe to the Balkan countries, and passing through Turkey and ending my journey in București (Romania).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I worked in a language café in Tokyo. I met a lot of Japanese people, talking to them in English and French, while learning about their culture, their day to day lives and opinions.
Teach, Learn, Share
Please teach me some useful phrases in your country's language. I would love to try and communicate with the locals in their own language.
Being able to speak English, German, French, Portuguese, and Luxembourgish fluently, I may teach or help you with studying those languages.
I know some stuff about my aforementioned #interests, I would love to discuss any of those with my host and try to obtain different points of views on a variety of topics.
