One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Just a few days ago I ate the world's best Gnocchi. On our way to Florence, me and my dad did a stop in Parma, where we went to a small restaurant, the name of which I cannot remember now. I was pretty hungry and ordered Gnocchi with Gorgonzola, expecting a good portion of cheese dripping Gnocchis, more than enough to fill my hungry stomach. When they arrived, I was disappointed, at first. It wasn't that much. It looked like a starter, like I could've eaten five of these plates.
But then I tried one gorgonzola dripping Gnocchi ...
Every cell in my body was in joyous celebration because of this taste. It was perfection. Perfect, on point. It wasn't glamorous or extra interesting or new. It was gnocchi and cheese, at their core, the essence of gnocchi Gorgonzola. This meal didn't just nourish my body, it nourished my soul. I had to laugh out loud for several minutes, because I was filled with joy. Gnocchi Gorgonzola exactly the way they are supposed to be. I ate all of it, of course. After I finished, however, I was done. I didn't need any more gnocchi. I was fulfilled, fully, I had found what I wanted in life. Now, I can firmly say, that I would easily travel 10 hours by car from my hometown to Parma, just to eat these Gnocchi again.
