It is so nice to meet you here on couchsurfing.

My name is David and I am now a master degree student in Turku, Finland.
I love making friends from different parts of the world and learning their languages. I can speak Chinese, Cantonese, Shanghainese and English, at the same time, I am also learning Finnish, Korean, Japanese and Esperanto. I am willing to know more about your language(s) and your culture(s) and share the stories of learning different languages with you.

I was born in Mainland China and spent twenty-two years living in Anhui province, which is the eastern part of China, two and a half hours away from Shanghai by high-speed train. I love traveling and have been to many different places in China. So if you are also interested in China, no matter is about language, culture, food (this is important haha), politics, I am always willing to share everything I know with you.

As a traditional Chinese, you may find me a little bit shy when we meet each other at the first time; as a younger generation, it won't take a long time for me to start talking. So please free to talk to me and I am looking forward to seeing you one day.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is a good platform for the people from different countries, with different cultural backgrounds to meet others during the travel. It is always amazing to meet a local citizen during the traveling, living as a local citizen with he/she, listening to the stories about the city and country and experiencing the local lifestyle.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all kinds of music, but now the music that I listen most are in Chinese and English. Most of them are contemporary pop music. Hope my music list can have more different songs from you.

About movie, I love Harry Potter series most. Everyone has his/her own dream, mine is to be a wizard. I read the first book of Harry Potter at the age of eight in the year 2001, then watched the movie in the year 2002. I was growing up with the novels, the movies and Harry Potter.
