Overview
About Me
Currently doing some long term travel around Europe and hopefully beyond! Recovering political PR guy who thankfully got out of Washington, D.C. I've come to love the nomadic life and all the amazing people I've met. Every place I go I learn something which I had no idea about, which means every place I've gone has been a smashing success!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To better connect with locals and gain true knowledge and friendship from them, and also hopefully be able to give some knowledge myself!
Interests
Travel, writing, reading, walking around a new place, comedy, trying to learn new accents, history, animals, finding anyway to save money and get more from it, and so much more!
Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Nixon, Apocalypse Now, 12 Angry Men, Double Indemnity, The Civil War, New York: A Documentary, There Will Be Blood, anything by the Cohen brothers. Books: The Prince of Tides, The Run of His Life, old detective novels, and 1970's pulp fiction novels by authors like Elmore Leonard. Music: Soul, rock, funk, pop, rap, electronic, etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Earlier this year I did a comedy open mic night. I was so nervous that if I was only able to get through the 5 minutes without completely melting down I would have considered it a success. Fortunately, I hit the performance out of the park! Being up on that stage and having people actually laugh at my jokes was one of the most rewarding things I've ever done!
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: I can affirmatively share that as a travel your only limitations are your low ambitions.
Learn: I want to find out everything I can about travel communication (including writing, blogging, video production, marketing, etc.) so I can share what I know with other people who are looking to change their lives through travel.
Share: I will share anything but pizza 🍕
