I travelled, worked and did some volunteering for several months through Asia and New Zealand when I was 20 years old. I have settled down in the Lausanne's area the last few years. Currently living in Riga, Latvia for an exchange semester at a University.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I discovered this website when I travelled by myself 8 years ago and I used it quite a lot, especially the meet-up option. Afterwards I had the possibility to host people at my previous place (not anymore de case). Some of the people I've met through this application (but not only) have all contributed in some way to be part of what I am today. Lot of sharing, laughs, fun, opinions, etc.

In my opinion Couchsurfing allow you to meet random people from anywhere in a very easy way and offer the possibility to share opinion and idea between stranger. It can make you think about various topics and see the world from a different standpoint. However, the application has evolved, for the better or for the worse, I don't know. I used to remember the time I did not have to pay just to access my own profile... Anyway, I hope this app will keep its philosophy in the long run.

Movies and TV show : Too many that I love. To mention a few : 2001 A Space Odyssey, Arizona Dream, Fight Club, Twin Peaks, The Twilight Zone, Better Call Saul, etc.

Books : Politics and economics books, Mafia and drug traffic economy books, Astronomy and physics books, Philosophy and Theology books... I'm always seeking for new books to get a better understanding of our World at large. Open to new recommendations.
