About Me

I was born in New Hampshire. My parents were back to the land hippies. We moved to Nova Scotia and started a self sufficient farm. After university I needed to live in a city so I decided to travel. I fell in love with montreal and have been living here on the plateau ever since.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have decided that need to continue my idea of traveling. I want to got to towns and cities, meet people, find out what's happening and where to stay and base me trip on that. I am starting my first trip along the north coast of Québec, Gaspé, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and then back to Montreal.

Interests

I am a glass and stone engraver. My artwork is usually based on ecology and the environment. I make modern day fossils of the garbage we leave behind, like cans, plastic bottles, cigarette butts, and condoms. I also did a series of work using the idea of abandoned gloves and umbrellas as fossils. I have a photo project about plastic forks. I encourage people around the world to post photos of forks they see littering the streets, parks, and sidewalks. It's called Fork in the Road.
