One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was in Arequipa, Peru some friends and me decided to climb a volcano, el Misti. So we left town early and hiked all the way up to 4,800 meters above sea level where we spent the night. The next morning we started hiking at 2 am. Around 9 am we reached the summit (5,822 m) and even though we were suffering from altitlude sickness it was an amazing experience! The best moment was to see the sun rise and observe the shadow of the mountain slowly disappear while hiking at what felt like the top of the world.
