About Me
My name is David and I love meeting new people! I used to suffer from social anxiety when I was younger and I didn't use to have many friends.
Ever since I overcame my anxiety for good a while ago, I started making new friends left and right, and there's no such thing as too many friends. :)
Hopefully Couchsurfing will prove as an amazing experience, hopefully both for me and the other person. We live only once and I'm up for trying new things all the time!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I joined because it seemed like a fun way to meet new people, learn about their culture and maybe even show them around my city. I see the world as a friendly place and I love helping other people, because I know that most people are gonna help me as well once I need it.
Since I live alone at the moment, my living room's couch is mostly unused, so there's a great opportunity to shelter somebody who's visiting my country and is looking for a place to stay!
Interests
I love reading books, listening to music and playing my electric guitar (although I'm not very good yet). I'm into sports, fitness, I also joined a yoga class last summer.
I enjoy going out with friends, meeting new people and visiting interesting social events. Being with people I love is what gives my life a meaning. :)
I'm also interested in personal development, I take every chance to improve myself in any way that would make my life a happier experience.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to a variety of music styles, but mostly hard rock and metal. I especially like power metal, as it's such a cheery and uplifting music! All the bands I listen to usually sing in English, I don't like Czech music very much. It seems to me that our language isn't particularly suited for making good music. :/
My top movies of all time are Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Mr. Nobody and The Matrix (weird combination, I know!)
My favorite books are Fountainhead by Ayn Rand (fiction) and The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle (nonfiction).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I can't really come up with one particular super awesome thing I've done. My life mostly consists of the little things, and it's these little things that add up over time and make life such a wonderful experience!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how not to take yourself too seriously and how to always see the bright side of life. I can give you tips for life changing books. I can also show you around the city or at least give you some good tips for cool places to visit in case I won't have enough time to show you myself, ranging from exciting museum and gallery exhibits to great rock concerts and wild night club parties. :)
I love learning new stuff all the time, provided it's at least a little bit fun! I'd especially love to learn how to cook some delicious meals, since my current cooking skills are unfortunately quite cringeworthy.
