ABOUT ME

I like to talk to people, because it usually leads to smiling and laughing, which usually leads to connection, which is what is all about.

I'm originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, but I moved my home base to Minneapolis Minnesota some years back and I love Minnesota very much, even though I can't drive in snow. Minnesota's a good fit.

I get by as a practitioner of international development. It's really cool working for the sake of the world.

Some may say that I'm funny.

I actually get really shy and nervous in social situations, but you'd never guess it if you met me. I'm lively and engaging and extroverted when I'm with people. But don't be fooled, that's me overcoming the shyness and timidity inside to get to where the magic happens. Say hi to me first if we're in a room to give my nerves a little break.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I lived in Dakar, Senegal, my work teammates were boring. I tried Couchsurfing to find people to show me and help explore Africa. CS was sooo good to me that summer in Africa.

Nowadays, I don't do Facebook, I don't do Twitter, I don't do Instagram or SnapChat or whatever the kids are into, but baby, I do Couchsurfing.

Interessi

Reggae music, aviation, fiction, Spanish language, international development, world cultures, the 49ers, reading the newspaper, acoustic guitar, long walks, the beach (but not long walks on the beach), bonfires (especially bonfires on the beach), the state of Minnesota, the classical-era Maya civilization, mental balance, inner peace, hangin'.
