My name is David Nolan and I am from Carlow, Ireland and I'm currently living in Yilan! I have a love of travel and have lived and studied abroad on a number of occasions. I am an outgoing, fun-loving person who is always open to new experiences and meeting new people.

Interests

I have a love of design and hope to work in a design firm one day. I love the problem solving aspect of it and how each project can be completely different from the last. I love interacting with problems in everyday life and thinking to myself "Yeah, I could fix that". My real passion is travel and try to do as much of it as possible. I have worked in Spain, Greece and the United States and have studied on Erasmus in Slovenia, all which have been amazing experiences, allowing me to gain insights of other cultures and meet some amazing people and lifelong friends from all over the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love movies that you really have to think about and concentrate to follow and understand, movies that subtly make you philosophize on aspects of life. So whenever someone asks me for a movie to watch I always say "Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind". I used to read a lot but not so much anymore and am trying to get back into it, but I love fantasy. The way people can create and describe whole worlds, cultures, races and ecosystems is mind-blowing to me. My favorite books have to be the "His Dark Materials" trilogy by Philip Pullman. I am a fan of all music if i appreciate the talent behind it but primarily right now I am listening to more electronic stuff like house music and techno. I always try to have a concert or festival to look forward to and I have been to quite a lot.
