About Me

Hello! I'm David, an Argentinian web programmer traveling around the world.

I love nature and landscapes, that's why I'm starting my bicycle trip from Norway to Kazajistan (it's finish already 🥵). My dream is to be a photographer one day, so all my trips are based on the idea of having a new stunning picture.

I also love programming but I took this years to improve my language skills, I would like to learn a new language or get a better level of french.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I believe meeting local people is the best way to get involved on the culture, Also because i love sharing travel experiences with other travellers and a good beer or coffee while we share those experiences.

Interests

Photography, movies, walking in the city or in the mountains. I love to spend a lot of time in landscapes and natural places, I'm not a fan of big cities.

Music, Movies, and Books

Everything is ok, just I prefer quiet music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living in Africa just under the Sahara desert experiencing the Teranca life on Senegal.

Cycling in the Polar circle just camping and sleeping under the northern lights. Going across Norway, Sweden and Finland... Some days cycling more than 14hs and walking long distances while trying to don't fall down in the cold night.

Sleeping in a mountain just with a winter suit while watching the midnight sun on Sommaroy Island, Norway.

Travelling across Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Thailand mixing motorbike and public transport. Hiking on the remote mountains of Vietnam and sleeping with beautiful local families. Visiting Angkor Wat.

Snorkeling and exploring the under sea life in the caribbean ocean (Dominican Repúblic) and in Asia.

Taking pictures without the right outfit in Uyuni, Bolivia, while i was running to don't get hypothermia. Finally the camera stopped working because it was Frozen... I runned back and the people asked me if i was crazy, then showed me the thermometer: it was -22°c.

Jumping into a frozen lake when it was -18ºc in Finland during the winter...

Renting and apartment back at Home in Buenos Aires and denied myself to buy any furniture but building it all recycling pallets and old structures i found on the streets (with one rule: it can't be just painted pallets, it has to be real furniture) and once i finished it started to travel again.

And... Had my own development and online marketing company and was married for a few years... Having the life "you should have".

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach spanish, some good photography tricks or concepts and help you with that computer thing that you never understood!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Food, beer, experiences, suggestions for travel or just a Nice moment. And of course I can fix your bycicle (I had to add this because it was something many people asked me)... So if it is not destroyed or you have the materials to fix it for sure I will do it)
