About Me

ABOUT ME

Here's a rundown to get you started:

I base most of my decisions off what I think Ferris Bueller would do.

I didn't leave the states until I was 19, so I guess I'm making up for lost time.

I quit smoking... 9 times.

I only quit college once.

I punched a pickpocket in the face in Budapest... He had 4 friends with him.

I lost a fight with 5 men in Budapest.

I started working from my computer in the summer of 2014, and now I'm freelancing while I travel around the world.

I'm super easygoing and open to new experiences. No plans, no worries, and no money have gotten me pretty far, and now I'm just enjoying all the new experiences and looking for the next walk through a city I've never been to.

PHILOSOPHY

"A man is a success if he gets up in the morning and goes to bed at night, and in between he does what he wants to do." - Bob Dylan

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Technically, I'm homeless - Yeah, my parents are disappointed too.

I gave up a permanent address at the end of last year to travel, so I'm just a surfer right now. If you're in the same city as I am, though, I love meeting new people.

Let's hang out (or you could let me stay with you 'cause that'd be clutch for me).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My experience so far has been incredible. This isn't a just free place to crash - it's a chance to meet some incredible people and make friendships across the world, and I've loved having the opportunity to do that.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Walden, 1984, The Four-Hour Work Week, On the Road (cliche, I know), The Art of Nonconformity, and any poetry by Eliot, Ginsberg, or Larkin.

Music: The National, LCD Soundsystem, The Strokes, Frank Turner, Broken Social Scene, Portugal the Man, Arctic Monkeys, The Drums, Catfish and the Bottlemen--I could loosely define my taste as "indie rock" but listen to Kanye and Jay Z with equal enjoyment.

Movies: Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Scott Pilgrim vs the World, The Fantastic Mr. Fox, The Prestige, Hot Rod, the Ocean's movies

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went from Budapest to Krakow to Warsaw to Vilnius to Tallinn to Helsinki and back in the span of 5 days once, and it was one of the coolest weeks of my life.

That said, I'm used to sleeping on buses, so any couch is a luxury to me.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a writer and have been able to leverage online freelancing opportunities to make a little money while I travel. If you're interested, I'm happy to show you how I do it.

I also know how to swing dance (sort of).
