Hi! I'm David, a 24 year university graduate currently travelling through Europe and Japan. I lived in Mexico for 6 months and have been travelling through Europe, Central America, South East Asia and a few other locations.

I love to play music and always enjoy conversations about people, politics and society. I also love helping people improve their english and love learning new languages myself. I studied politics, anthropology and Spanish in university, so if you know any of those things, that would be cool!

Interessi

I really love to travel and meet people from different cultures. I think there is a lot to learn from the ways in which different people live differently. I believe it is important to be open-minded when discussing the "big issues" and love to have open conversation where I can learn something.

Art in all forms also inspires me. Music is and has been a very big part of my life and I cannot imagine my life without it. I love to be creative musically and want to start recording and releasing music myself.

I am also very interested in language and the way in which it affects cultures and societies. I enjoy learning new things about another language and am always shocked to find such similarities between the way we all talk!

Apart from that, I like to read, but find that I don't spend enough time reading these days. I also enjoy philosophy. Food is also a big interest of mine! I love to eat delicious food, although sadly I am not a chef.

Musica, film e libri

Techno and House music - I am a DJ in Melbourne and play in some clubs. I love dancing and being part of a festival.

I also like lots of other types of music. Some of my favourite bands/artists are Aphex Twin and Boards of Canada, but also The Beatles, Nine Inch Nails, Animal Collective, My Bloody Valentine, The Flaming Lips. I am an avid music fan and will listen to (almost) anything!

Surrealist/psy-fi literature - I used to read a lot and have read many great books. At the moment I like reading sci-fi and surrealist literature. Authors such as Kafka, Philip K. Dick and Alister Crowley are my favourites.

Film - I am not so big on film, but some of my favourite films are 2001: A Space Odyssey, Studio Ghibli films, Lord of The Rings, Star Wars.

When I was studying in Mexico, I decided to go to Burning Man 3 days before it started! I had no ticket or anything, just decided on a whim. It was pretty crazy, but I had a feeling that it would work out.

I am fluent in English and nearly fluent in Spanish, well enough to correct people's grammer and teach words :)

I also speak a tiny bit of German and a little bit of Japanese (I stopped learning 6 years ago after highschool.

A story and a laugh. I love to show people music and talk about places they've been and their own country and homes. Everyone is different and we can all learn from each other.
