About Me

My friends call me Dav and I am a travelling musician of Colombian heritage though I grew up in London. I live in Sayulita Mexico and love it here.

Really enjoy cooking, I believe that food is one of the greatest and most important aspects of life and I enjoy it deeply.

I am very outdoorsy and love walks, swimming, sports or just laying in a park reading. As long as I am out in the fresh air I am happy.
I feel that I am a very open person and I love talking to people and getting a small insight into their world and how they see things. A good talk over a bottle of wine is often my favourite past time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have just spent 2 months travelling in Mexico and after trying hostels, motels and airbnbs I quickly realised that the best way to meet people and get an authentic experience of the place is to stay with locals and it seems that couchsurfing is the perfect platform to achieve that.

Ive decided to spend the next year travelling which I am very excited about and so I hope that through the couchsurfing community i can enjoy the places i visit fully, make some friends and maybe save some money in the process :D

Music, Movies, and Books

I have quite an eclectic taste in music from Reggae and Salsa to R&B and Jazz although I do have a particular passion for Hip-Hop. I love music that makes you feel good but I especially like music that inspires you and has a strong message.

Absolutely love "one flew over the cuckoos nest" by Ken Kesey, "1984" by George Orwell, "Memoirs of a Geisha" by Arthur Golden and "Love in the Time of Cholera"by Gabriel Garcia Marquez.

The Godfather Part II and The Shawshank Redemption are probably my two favourite movies followed by About Time and the 100 foot journey. I also quite like a few of the old disney films haha
