I currently live in Lincoln with my partner Alex. This profile mine and she has one as well. I love to explore new places and cultures. I enjoy meeting new people and going on different adventures. I currently work as a photographer and my partner Alex works in a Special Educational Needs School. We both love trying and eating new foods, particularly enjoying spicy foods. We both love walking and trekking. We love music and films. I love technology, cameras and gaming. I grew grown up in several different countries and has also travelled a bit to Asia before with my family. Since leaving university we have travelled together to Edinburgh, Iceland and Morocco. And now to Asia...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My partner Alex and I are travelling around Asia from January 2017 for a year and would love to meet people that live in the countries we are travelling to! We would like to meet with people who have good local knowledge and we are happy to explore all over the countries! Plus as we will be travelling around for a year we will be try to keep costs down where we can including accommodation. We will be travelling to Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, back to Thailand and to the Thai islands, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia (in particularly Bali), Philippines, Japan, Hong Kong and China.

Interests

As a keen photographer, much of my adult life has been related to this . I photographed many different things. I spent time as a music and event photographer, which has resulted in me in taking photos of some fantastic bands.
In recent years I have expanded into street and portrait photography as I realised I enjoy the interaction with people.
I love music as well.
I am a fairly happy go lucky person looking to see what else is out there in the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

Musically I have always been a rocker, however, I always try and keep an open mind with new music and I look forward to hearing about your favourite bands too.
Recently I have been listening to...
Childish Gambino ( his new album is fantastic)
Low Roar ( I discovered him whilst visiting Iceland and his songs are quite moving).
Petit Biscuit and Broken Back ( great music to get me in the mood for travel).
Aurora ( a wonderful new voice in pop/electronic music).

I sometimes struggle with books, as I find it difficult to get invested.
However recently I have read the following books.
Jurassic Park ( what a read!)
River Monsters by Jeremy Wade ( I am not really into fishing, however, I really enjoyed the show so I felt the book would be an extension of that.
To Much Information by Dave Gorman ( A hilarious book looking and modern life).

In terms of Movies, I will watch most things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Completing my Masters was one of the most amazing things I have done as it took years and was never really my goal to start with.

I love to cook and share stories over cooking.
Photographing and Videography are both skills that I love to share with people as well.

Insight into English culture and English language. Love of food and cooking. Photography and film skills, we are happy to take photographs or make promotional videos in exchange for accommodation. Friendly and tidy house guests.
