Hello, my name is David, and I live in the southwest of Germany, near the Swabian Alb.
For the past two years I have been travelling alone by bike, intensely playing and writing music (I sing and play the guitar), working various jobs when I was at home and finding my way to what training/studying I want to go into as a basis for my income.

My main journey was in the autumn and winter of 2023: I travelled alone by bike, well equipped with my foldable guitar, a journal and a camera for documentation to Portugal. During these intense 2 months and a cycled distance of 2500 km, I slept almost every night somewhere in a forest with my tent in the middle of nowhere.
My second big journey was in August and September of 2024: I travelled in the same way by bike from Kopenhagen across Sweden, Norway and Denmark.

During these journeys, I experienced a lot but I also had quite a few encounters with beautiful people. I started writing a book about my inner experiences and also expressing these insights within my music.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For 3 years I have been casually playing music in the streets and on gigs near my hometown and sometimes a little more distant, but now I decided that I want to travel for three weeks across Paris, London and Amsteram as an artist.
I would like to share my music and play songs that touch people to create a beautiful atmosphere that I hope will enrich some people.

I hope to also meet like-minded ones along the way and casually get a night at someone from Couchsurfing.
I have a little screw loose, I am cooperative and I like open communication.

I listen to music that touches me. I like various kinds of music.
Bands I love are for example Opeth, Gojira, Soen, Alter Bridge, System of Down, Tool, Coldplay - artists like Myles Kennedy and many more. But I also love classical music from composers such as Beethoven or other ones.
