Overview
About Me
I’m a Montessori educator and musician from Missouri who enjoys travel, meaningful conversation, music, nature, and learning from new people and places. I care a lot about community, creativity, and experiences that feel genuine.
I’m also a dad of two, which keeps life full and meaningful. I’m respectful, clean, easygoing, and grateful for the chance to connect with people through Couchsurfing. Whether hosting or staying with someone, I value kindness, clear communication, and mutual respect.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m on Couchsurfing because I love meeting new people and experiencing places through real human connection. I think there’s something special about learning a place through the people who live there rather than just passing through it.
I value hospitality, kindness, respect, and meaningful conversation. Whether I’m hosting or being hosted, I appreciate the chance to share experiences, learn from others, and make memories that last.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music
I love all kinds of music, but even more than listening to it, I love making it with other people. Some of my favorite moments are simple, low stakes ones like jamming with students or friends, singing, or even doing karaoke. I really enjoy helping people feel more comfortable and confident in music.
Movies
I love a good sci-fi movie, especially ones that explore the future and challenge the way we think about society and culture. I also enjoy documentaries and stories about interesting, hopeful, and inspiring things happening in the world.
Books
I mostly enjoy nonfiction because I am always trying to learn and grow. I’m especially drawn to books about education, parenting, community, and personal development. A lot of what I read connects back to the kind of school and community life I want to help build.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I love to hike and my most memorable was hiking Half Dome in Yosemite National Park!
Teach, Learn, Share
I’m actively working with a team to help build a small private school in my area that gets kids outdoors more and creates a more meaningful, connected way of learning. I was a band teacher for 10 years before and love sharing the passion of music making as well. A lot of my philosophy centers around curiosity, creativity, community, and helping children grow through real life experiences.
I’m also helping build a parenting education program around many of those same values. I spend a lot of time talking with friends about education, parenting, culture, and the ways our social structures shape everyday life. I really enjoy thoughtful conversations with people who care about growth, family, community, and building a better future.

What I Can Share with Hosts
I can offer good conversation, music, a thoughtful perspective on education and community, and a respectful presence in your home. I enjoy connecting with people in a real and meaningful way, and I try to bring appreciation, curiosity, and kindness wherever I go.
My home and daily life are also very family oriented. If you’re traveling with children or are interested in education, parenting, or community life, those are all things I care deeply about. I’m actively helping build a small school in Missouri, and I’m always happy to share that part of my life with people who are curious about it.
