Overview
About Me
I avoid limiting my and other people's minds with too many categories, preconceptions and definitions; I am "fasting my heart" (not my body, fortunately, in case you want to dine with me and show me local delicacies ;) which means, I am trying to unlearn rather than to learn...
For the next months I'll be living in a spontaneous way, without any goals set in stone, travelling, working in and for various projects, connecting with new and old friends, taking my life one day at a time, sure that I will take the right decisions at the respective moment.
Right now I am trying to learn Chinese and also teaching yoga in the prison of Munich.
My core values are: art, knowledge, love.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I visit new places, I would like to get to know some of the people inhabiting this place. Couchsurfing offers the opportunity to meet locals, which provides a deeper understanding of the place and mutual recognition, instead of classically one-sided tourism.
I also love to benefit from other people's hospitality and to return it with my own friendship. There is a beautiful, forgotten word, "philoxenia", which used to describe the acceptance of the "stranger" and "guest", which originally was the same term ("xénos").
Music, Movies, and Books
One of the last novels I've read and enjoyed a lot: El Salvaje, Guillermo Arriaga. I love its deeper topic, which is the quest for our inner, wild nature.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Drawing the rock formations in Wadi Rum (Jordan desert), while sitting on the ardent sand and conversating with our Bedu guide.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teaching yoga, learning taichi...
I love to learn new recipes to cook together, to draw and read in a common room, to discuss life philosophies, to learn about other cultures, people, perspectives...
If I have a vocation, it is writing - but I could be better and firmer at it.
