About Me

Sorry, we can't accept guests at this time; our house is undergoing a few changes, but I hope to soon.

I teach at Utah State University, but also at Sky View High School, where I teach drama and English Literature / Film. I love hiking, photography, cooking and hanging out with fun people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I hope my home will be available soon, but I often love traveling, and I love meeting people wherever I go. Indeed, rather than see tourist sites when I go places, I would much rather meet people and make new friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

I just read Angela's Ashes and loved it. I like to read Sci-Fi and Fantasy, but I love all literature if it's well written. I'm a sucker for nearly all movies. I'm currently enjoying Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell--a great book turned into a pretty decent television mini-series. I grew up with Lord of the Rings and Dune, but also Chaim Potok and John Steinbeck. I also love Shakespeare, Chekhov and Friederich Dürrenmatt.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I helped raise 4 outstanding kids! I survived two years teaching high school.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love photography, but I also love teaching how to do it better; I'm a semi-professional after all, and just because someone has an expensive camera doesn't mean they know how to use it well. I can also cook gourmet food and had often elevate someone's skills in cooking. I'm a semi-professional storyteller and currently President of the Utah Storytelling Guild. Since I'm in theatre, I know how to problem-solve with carpentry and simple engineering.
