About Me

IG: @davidisonair

Hey!

I’m David and usually i get a bit stuck when people ask me where I am from. I’m a Siberian-born Armenian who lives in Moscow for past six years :)

I’m an easy-going, chill and open guy and these qualities are what I value in other people. Always ready to get in touch in case you’re coming to my city and if you want to guide me to some interesting spots in yours!

I work as data analyst and in my free time love exploring new places of our planet. This summer I’m planning a trip through Spain to Portugal with my boyfriend. (First time visiting Europe for both of us).

It’s only this year when I first heard of the couch-surfing community from a friend of mine. It warms my heart to know that people are still enthusiastic about sharing experience and meeting new people to become friends with!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe that people should unite in sake of sharing experience, language knowledge with each other and the tool of Couchsurfing helps a lot with this

Music, Movies, and Books

As for movies — “Mommy” by Xavier Dolan is one of my favorites. I also love really stunning, nostalgic and at the same time intimate visuals of Wong Kar-wai films (especially "Chungking Express" and "In the Mood For Love") and Wim Wenders' "Paris, Texas" (I would also recommend to check his polaroid photographs book, his visual narration style is a good representation of what I love in movies)

As for music, I could've been listing a ton of artists but if I was to pick one favorite it would be Sade without any doubt. But I guess my big love for Armenian folk music and Armenian jazz music from late 80-90s is definitely worth a mention! (I highly recommend checking out Tatevik Hovhannisyan)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I actually got a degree in applied mathematics! Wouldn’t say that I consider it to be a truly “amazing thing” but maths is something that would always entertain and excite me! Many people though seem to consider that :)
