About Me

I’m a quiet and easygoing guy, living a simple life. My greatest inspirations come through travel, outdoor adventures, and good conversations with thoughtful people.

I grew up on a grain farm in a beautiful part of Montana. After getting a degree in mechanical engineering I got to help design and develop lots of renewable energy projects (wind and solar) which led to me living in New Zealand for nearly a decade.

Now I’ve returned to North America to be closer to family. My life currently involves a mix of seasonal work on farms and ranches and I enjoy being active and outdoors again.

In between jobs I take road trips as often as possible, taking back roads and “getting amongst it” as Kiwis say.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to meet new people and make connections while travelling, and Couchsurfing has been such a great way to do so! I’m currently not in a living situation where I can host , but as soon as I can I will be hosting as well.

Interests

I would like to build and live in a passive solar earth / straw bale house, live in a tipi for a year, road trip Mexico in a camper van, and backpack Eastern Europe!
