About Me
* Travelling as a couple*
Me and my partner Jen are currently on a big adventure to see more of the world and its wonderful people. It's as much spiritual as geographical i suppose having sold our houses and quit our jobs, leaving the rat-race behind and getting back to some basic principles, taking things slow and soaking it all up.
We love to meet people and exchange life lessons which is why we love couchsurfing! We currently travel in a van so we don't technically need a bed/couch right now but we love the principals of couchsurfing and the beautiful exchanges we have had with hosts in the past which is why we continue to use this platform. Give some local knowledge and a night chatting over a hotel suite any day 😊
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To see more of the world and the people who make it amazing
Interests
Great food is a big part of our lives- I'm a very keen cook and we love to get out and try new places. On this trip we'll be on a budget so finding cheap eats and cooking in (or outside when the sun shines) will be the mission.
Travel has always been important to us- we wanted to do more so we've saved up and now plan to do it for the foreseeable future! We love chatting to like minded travellers and exchanging information on places we've travelled and getting tips on places that we'd love to still visit.
Jen spent a lot of her younger years being a dancer and still has an interest in it.
Going to good gigs is up there- we've got pretty varied taste in music and are willing to try most things!
Other than that, we're pretty simple- easy going social people who love to hang out with new people and learn new things.

Music, Movies, and Books
Wes Anderson films for a start! (Isle of Dogs, Grand Budapest Hotel, Life Aquatic) And many others. Too many to list.
We have a really varied taste in music between us from classical to techno and everything else in between. Rodriguez (Searching for Sugarman) is a hit with us both though.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Taking part in the tuktuk wacky races through Siem Reap at 5am to see Angkor Wat at sunrise was pretty sweet, however in Southeast Asia, really the amazing thing we did was just going there and seeing how wonderful their people were - in Cambodia especially, despite everything they've been through.
Teach, Learn, Share
Cooking! I’m really interested in food and always looking for the opportunity to cook for people or learn new recipes and techniques.
We went to language school in Guatemala for a month so our Spanish is better than it was and we try to improve a little more every day.
We like to share experiences and learn from others. Simple!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good company, an open mind, passion for life and all that is fun, honest and trustworthy. Oh yeah, and cooking and eating and drinking and generally getting out and about - lots of all that!
