Sobre mí

CURRENT MISSION

To beard or not to beard

ABOUT ME

Hey! I'm a easy and outgoing person who likes to keep active and travel the world :) I enjoy having a laugh and not taking things too seriously, and would consider myself very easy to get along with! I'm passionate about music, in which I work, and football, in which I play and like new experiences, meeting new people and having a good time! I also like beer :)

PHILOSOPHY

I guess I like to be independent, and believe people should be proactive and do what they want to do and find ways in which to do it.

I'm fortunate to work in an area i love but still find the time to travel every year and am part of an online band where I write the music and then collaborate with people from around the world to record and release it.

I generally do my own thing (i'm probably the only person that likes metal music, plays football, travels the world, and has had 3 jobs simultaneously!)but will never force my opinions and beliefs on someone and am always respectful to others.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I believe Couchsurfing is a great way to travel the world - getting to see some amazing places whilst meeting some amazing people and learning more about the culture and getting more of a local perspective.

I live in a shared house in London, 10 mins train from the centre. I would like to host people however my flatmates often work a lot of long and unsociable hours and are not so keen on couchsurfers staying :( Either way I would be happy to show people round, but drop me a message and will see if i can accomodate :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Stayed with some amazing hosts in Canada, USA, Mexico, Belize, Honduras, El Salvador, Costa Rica and Colombia so far and want to continue meeting nice people! Also used it for ridehshares and travelled quite a lot with other couchsurfers :)

Intereses

Travelling is a big one but i'm also interested in the arts - music, film and sports! I'm easy to get along with and happy to chat about anything though :)

Música, películas y libros

Movies - Too many to name, but Amores Perros, 21 Grams and Babel Trilogy are some of my favourites - again i'll watch anything as long as its not crap (but if its REALLY crap i'll probably like it!)

Music - Really into my metal but understand most people don't like hairy blokes screaming into a microphone so don't really talk (or dress) that way! You probably wouldn't know I liked it unless you did yourself, at which point i'd probably talk for hours! Favourite bands are probably Converge, Dillinger Escape Plan, Meshuggah etc.

Algo increíble que he hecho

South America is still probably my favourite place. I've been to Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, Argentina, Ecuador and Chile and visited parts of Uruguay, Paraguay and Brazil!

Its difficult to think of specific amazing things but Machu Pichu the Bolivian Salt Plains, Iguazu Falls, Rio de Janeiro, Galapagos Islands and Patagonia were all amazing. I've also driven the whole of Vietnam on the worlds worst scooter , got kidnapped in Mexico, lived on basically nothing for 6 months (and grew an epic castaway beard), cycled some ridiculous long distance routes through Canadian mountains, discovered my own Caribbean island, nearly got a job as a mexican boat driver, got lost in a giant canyon, became a published travel writer and also edited childrens books in order to fund scuba diving, climbed up the back of the LA Hollywood sign and got thrown out by police, nearly got abducted by a Honduran drug lord, got escorted out a Guatemalan National Park by the army after trying to sneak in, climbed up and surfed down some volcanoes and generally completely ignored any form of 'you should not do this on your own' activity!

Enseña, aprende, comparte

Erm... well I have a heavy musical background which covers Live Events Management, Sound & Lighting Engineering, Radio and Record Label work, studio recording/production and other bits and pieces.

I have also been learning Spanish on my travels and would be keen to improve and exchange skills with Couch Surfers.
