ABOUT ME

I'm a 24 year old graduate student trying to soak up some southeastern sun before I move up north in the fall to begin a PhD program in Linguistics. I love learning about almost anything, but my main interests are languages, sports, food and history.

PHILOSOPHY

(1) Our minds may take us to the past (regret) and the future (anxiety), but happiness is always with us in the present.

(2) Be kind to others because you never, ever know what someone else has been through.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Early in life I learned the importance of being a pleasant guest. I plan to be a fun, friendly, and helpful guest wherever I get the chance to stay. I also plan to come to your residence bearing tasty gifts (i.e., natural Florida honey, Key Lime marmalade), so I hope you like good quality food!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am no longer a couch-surfing rookie after successful stays in New Orleans and San Antonio this summer. I'm looking forward to many more chances to meet new people in new places.

Everyone has something to teach. I just try to be attentive enough to learn a little something from everyone. At present, I'm especially interested in learning more about cooking, running and meditation.

If you are interested in learning from me, I can teach you about Spanish, adult/child language acquisition (I get especially nerdy about that), and almost anything about basketball, tennis, or other sports.
