CURRENT MISSION

We are on the trip of our lives! We have left home for 2years to travel and see as much of the world as we can. Feb 2012 we left our home, jobs and family to start our adventure!

ABOUT ME

Our profile is a bit different as we are a couple traveling together, so this is a combo answer. We are 27 (Anna) and 27 (Dave), married for four years, yes we were very young! Together we are quite relaxed, Dave is the planner and organised with life, Anna is lazy and enjoys coming along for the ride and reap the fun.

Friends would say we love to entertain and keep our group of friends busy with get togethers and ideas.
Travelling we really enjoy staying in hostels to meet people and get some good travel tips and ideas, best to learn from others experiences. More recently in our travels we are seeing more and more Aussies on the road and so the concept of CS really appeals to us, to meet local people and really expose ourselves to new cultures and lifestyles.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment we are traveling and heard about CS on our trip. We think it's something that we would like to try out when back home, as a host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Our closest experience to CS would only be catching up with friends in our travels. Some of our best memories and experiences have been when we meet other people and hit it off in hostels and then later stayed with them in their home towns.

Centres d'intérêt

when travelling we both really enjoy finding a local spot for a drink and chat with anyone willing to talk. We both love food, a good meal-even willing to test out a new local specialty, maybe outside our normal pallet.

Dave is the real social butterfly who can talk to anyone about anything, he is an all-round sports man both player and spectator.

Anna loves reading (thank God for the Kindle)and anything that involves time at the beach. Also really enjoy cooking, especially now travelling and access to a kitchen can be hard to find.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

In 2011 we made the decision to put both our careers on hold, leave our home of four years to travel the world together.

Camping in the Serengeti National Park we had a male Lion walk through the camp one nite about 100 meters from the campfire we were sitting at.

For Anna there was also an experience of being with her sister throughout the birth of her first child.(The most amazing, scary, personal experience I shared with my sister.)
