About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoy every day as it comes traveling around the U.S. meeting new people along the road, hiking biking and swimming in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

ABOUT ME

I consider myself an open minded free soul, a citizen of the world as we all are. I don't believe in frontiers or borders, those kind of things are only in no dreaming spirits, we're just happened to be born in different places, that's all.

PHILOSOPHY

Let's play in the sun !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Ive been part of our amazing community for three years now and i gotta say i'm a happy/lucky camper. Ive met some really great people in these years both in Europe and America going to meetings, parties and of course surfing couches :) right now im living in the States which has given me the chance to travel to beautiful places and meet interesting people around North America. Hoping to get myself a big place soon so i can host travelers too. Going to Japan this fall where i hope to meet locals and learn as much as i can from them and their culture.

Interests

I love to walk, ride bikes, smile and tickle. Taking long naps at the beach & then going for a swim. I'm crazy about fruits and specially cold fruit juice. Lately, thanks to some friends from Portland i'm drinking more tea and eating more vegetables than ever before. Been feeling really happy about it.

Music, Movies, and Books

From Kurosawa to Fellini, cinema is one of the things i enjoy the most in life. My favorite directors include: David Lynch, Jim Jarmusch, Pedro Almodovar, Stanley Kubrick, Tarantino, Woody Allen, Danny Boyle, François Truffaut, Ridley Scott & Darren Aronofsky.

It's really hard to say which are my favorite bands or musicians, but to name just a few: New Order, The Beatles, Caribou, Four Tet, Kings of Convenience, Fugees, Ray Charles, Depeche Mode, Manu Chao, The Cure, LCD Soundsystem, The Whitest Boy Alive, Steel Pulse, Bob Marley, Barrington Levy, Cultura Profetica, Radiohead, Etta James, Harry Allen & many many more.

I have to say that the writers and therefore the books i love the most are latinamericans such as Jorge Luis Borges, Julio Cortazar, Pablo Neruda, Mario Benedetti, Ernesto Sábato and Gabriel Garcia Marquez. But lately as a way to improve my french i've been reading Belgium's best contemporary female writer Amelie Nothomb and i really like it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sailing on a very VERY small wooden boat through the amazon river for almost five hours was not only one of the most amazing things i've experienced but one of the scariest as well. Did i mention the "captain" was a 90 year-old drunken fellow?

Teach, Learn, Share

As a good south american i spend many hours dancing so i'm completely open to learn new rhythms & of course teach the ones i already enjoy. I can also teach you happy & funny colombian short-songs :)
