ABOUT ME

My friends would say that I am loyal and thoughtful with a quirky, often funny, sense of humor. I always want to look at things from a different angle because conventional ideas bore me. I don't shy away from a debate or a conflict, but my friends know that whatever our differences in opinion we are still friends. I am half introvert, half extrovert, so sometimes I will be thinking a lot and other times I will be talking a lot. I love people and I love helping them with their problems. I view my life as a series of big steps, and my current big step is extended solo travel, something I've never done before. It is far outside my comfort zone which is exactly why I want to do it. I am not perfect, I am perfectly human in all its beauty and ugliness.

PHILOSOPHY

I want to turn my life over in my hand, examine it, drop it on the ground and pick it up again, hit it against others and see what kind of sound it makes (paraphrased from Ted Simon).

I seek to be real and authentic with others, and I try to bring authenticity out in others. We spend so much time hiding and protecting ourselves from imagined dangers and pursuing security in life. I'm not here for a long time, I'm here for a good time :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I tend to become intensely interested in certain things for a period of time, take what value I can, and move. Currently I'm fascinated by Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares--I love problem-solving and I love unorthodox methods! I'm nearly finished reading Ted Simon's Jupiter's Travels, about his 4 year journey around the world by motorcycle. Music-wise, I love anything by Maynard James Keenan (Tool, A Perfect Circle, Puscifer)and I love to sing Michael Buble and Frank Sinatra (Karaoke!).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Recently I felt the most alive riding my motorcycle south through Wyoming. The world felt so massive and alive and the sky was lit up with vibrant colors and I didn't want to be anywhere else in the world at that moment.

Teach, Learn, Share

Five years talking to all kinds of people helping them solve relationship and life problems has got to be worth something :) I also know a bit about health and exercise.
