Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Make a home/community in Austin while I study at UT by connecting with new people.
ABOUT ME
From Baltimore, MD. Studied music at Wesleyan University in CT. Lived/worked/played music in New York City for the last 3 years.
I'm moving to Austin on August 22nd and starting the Computer Science program on August 29th. I don't know a soul in Austin yet - so I was excited to discover the couchsurfing community recently. Sounds like an awesome way to meet people in new places!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I just learned that this exists. I hope it will help me get started in Austin by giving me a chance to make new friends and to find places to crash until I find my own apartment.
I've heard great things about Austin happy hours - so I'd love to buy my hosts a drink and learn the ways of true Austin living.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
None! Looking forward to trying it as a surfer and someday hosting.
Interests
Writing music, listening to music, writing computer programs, biking, happy hours, lists, whiteboards, DIY construction, cooking (mostly in theory, but often in practice), separating my day into manageable chunks with ceremonial coffee breaks

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spent all night climbing the stairs of TaiShan mountain in TaiAn China to see the sunrise. It was exhausting, sweltering at the bottom, freezing at the top, and ended up being too cloudy to see the sunrise. Then we realized we still had to walk back down. BUT making the trip up with hundreds of other locals, tourists, families, and old Chinese grannies, and seeing all their flashlights snaking up and out of sight into the dark is a lovely memory.
We also got attacked by a horde of monkeys on that trip...
