About Me

My name is David.

I have very recently escaped from the clutches of the mundane life of working at a computer on a drizzle ridden island.

I'm now spending a few months in the rest of Europe, to take it all in, before boarding an aeroplane across the big blue sea to Canada. Where freedom and gold await.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I initially used couchsurfing as a host, when I lived in Brighton, England. It can be tiring travelling far from home and I wanted to offer people a place to rest and relax without it costing them a big old back of money (a lot of people try to make out that couchsurfing has nothing to do with the accommodation being free, which is just dishonest bullshit. There's nothing wrong with people wanting to travel on a shoestring. It happens to be the only way for some). I also wanted to enjoy the company of people from other places and hear their tales of anguish and fortune.

Now I am meandering my way through Europe on a 1977 Honda 550Four. I am doing this trip alone so am trying to do some couchsurfing to meet some good people and learn the intricacies of the places I pass through.

I have some references to prove that I'm not a terrorist. Or a witch.
