About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To explore and enjoy as much as possible in our 20s

ABOUT ME

For me (David), I would say that my best friends would describe me as a planner. I almost always have a plan for things, and it helps me to make sense out of the world. I would also say that they might describe me as friendly and dedicated to whatever undertaking I have chosen.

For my wife Jenny, best friends would describe her as a kind-hearted person who has been an animal lover her whole life.

PHILOSOPHY

We believe that life is meant to be lived. If we want to travel or to do something, we will find a way to make it happen. Life always spent at home is not exciting to us.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We've both hosted and surfed, though much more so the former.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We've really enjoyed meeting a number of new people with various cultural backgrounds. We hope to continue hosting for many years, as we've had awesome guests!

Interests

We are both very much into traveling. We have been to a lot of places within the United States and a couple of places in some countries, but we'd love to see much more!

Additionally, we geocache, primarily on weekends. It's something fun for us that keeps us outdoors and active.

Finally, we both enjoy staying in shape. Our current interests are cycling, hiking, and weight training, though we like to try new activities too!

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't have any recent favorites; I'm open to most things within these categories.

Jenny reads quite a bit, both fiction and non-fiction.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

First seeing the Grand Canyon was an amazing experience that I will always remember. Its size and natural beauty were more than I could have imagined.

Standing on top of a 10,000-foot mountain while watching a storm roll over was also an inspiring moment. To stand so high (for me) and watch clouds whir past my face was certainly unique!

While visiting Belize, Jenny had the opportunity to eat a termite. Although seemingly a terrible idea, it actually tasted minty fresh!

Teach, Learn, Share

Some things that I might be able to help with include computers (security, networking, general skills, etc...), organizational and planning skills, financial management, and just simply listening.

Jenny would be able to talk about the environment and various animal-related topics.
