About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get

ABOUT ME

I have been caught by the travelling virus many years ago and I should say that it's probably something I like the most. But personnaly, travelling is not travelling without meeting people. With my girlfriend, we often travel when we have the opportunities to. We are crazy about cold countries in Scandinavia. Anyway, CS is a real possibility to meet fantastic people.

I am an energetic and sociable person. I think I am quite open-minded. I'm trying most of the time to live for the present moment. I really like any kind of art, cinema, theatre. I am crazy about music in general and I am always glad to share and compare music tastes with others. I really like living in town but I really appreciate to be lost in the middle of nowhere. I like to be conscious of simple but essential things around us, because they are probably the most important.

I really like to have many different travelling projects.
I did European Youth projects few years ago and I have organized one.
I love roadtrips. That's a way of travelling that I like a lot. You just have a huge impression of freedom, you have the feeling that you can do whatever you want, without any limit, without precise plans, by just following your desires.

PHILOSOPHY

Don't leave for tomorrow what you want to do right now and try to live for the present as much as you can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Everytime I'm posting a Couchrequest, I try to read carefully the profile of those I'm sending the request to. PLEASE SEND A PROPER COUCHREQUEST IF YOU WANT TO HAVE A CHANCE TO BE HOSTED. I'M NOT A HOSTEL.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I already have good CS experiences in Hungary, Latvia, North Wales, Turkey, United States and Iceland.

Both were excellent, really, CS is obviously one of the best way to discover a country or a special place due to native people. But most of all, that's a great way to meet amazing people !

And I had the pleasure to host some amazing couchsurfers. That was just awesome.

Interests

Definitely every kind of art including music, cinema, theater, etc...
I'm crazy about the sound of vinyl records.
I like sport as well. I think I can say that I'm quite curious in general.
And of course, I like travelling, I'm all the time ready to discover new cultures and nice people. That's why I really enjoyed my previous European project experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books

- Music : I like almost any kind of music and it would be useless to list everything because I'm always pleased to discover new sounds and I like to exchange music with others.

- Movies : The movies directed by and with Clint Eastwood, Quentin Tarantino's movies and Joel & Etan Coen's movies.

- Books : I really like "Le Petit Prince" of Antoine de St Exupéry, "L'alchimiste" of Paulo Coelho, many differents comics.

But I consider that I have an awful lot of stuff to learn and discover.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Landmannalaugar : One of the most amazing landscapes I've ever seen in my life, in Iceland.
The Dead Vlei : Again one of the most amazing landscapes, but in Namibia this time
Northern lights in Tromso.
I've ever sung "Hey Jude", one of the most famous songs made by the Beatles on the stage of the Cavern Club, the pub in Liverpool where they made their first gigs ! That was just excellent !

Teach, Learn, Share

If you want to learn French, I will be glad to teach you a bit of my language as well as I'm sure I really want to know a bit of your own language.
If you like singing or if you are playing an instrument... and if you have the patience to teach me a bit of this instrument, it would be great. I play autoharp and love to sing !
It would be an honour to know how to cook a really good traditionnal meal ! I'm not that good at cooking but I still can make "crêpes" for you !
I can take time during the week-end to show you the surroundings and the places I like or you would like to discover.
If you have time, and if you are interested, we can go to the Brocéliande forest (in Brittany) which is a magic place where I like to spend time (1h30 by car from Nantes).
I can teach you how to play chess and poker (useless I know :) !)
I like sharing music with people in general, I'm always ready to know more about music taste of people.
