ABOUT ME

I grew up in Colorado doing all the assumed things that a Colorado kid would do. I love the mountains, the snow, and the sun. I am and adventure seeker. I choose to find it through by diving into new experiences. I am first and foremost a scholar. My adventure truly lies in academic discovery. I would consider my activities outside of academics to be a serious component of my life. In fact, I think that without my backpacking, sports, or travel, my academics would suffer and be lacking in real world experiences.

PHILOSOPHY

Just Go Surfing Brah!

You might be asking yourselves what I mean by “Brah!” Well, the easiest way to put it is that if you ever find yourself running into a surfer brah, you might notice that they live life quiiittte differently. I am not saying that I should make the same life style choices as the brahs, but I want you the see the surfer brah as a symbol. When I say be like a surfer, I mean go do what matters. Whether that is hiking, skiing, academics, family, or riding the wave; I want you to try and love what I do and do what I love. The surfer that I am referencing is someone that has found his or her passion. They wake up every day to ride a wave. They slice through the wave with their board and realize that they have control. That is exactly what I want in my life. I want to be in control and make meaningful decisions. Just like the surfer I could fall off the wave. But the beauty of the metaphor is that you can always paddle back out. I put trust in myself and get the perfect wave everyday. It is truly the surfers dream to ride a perfect wave everyday. Dream like the surfer. Brah!

One experience in La Fortuna, Costa Rica. It was a perfect introduction. I enjoyed the ease in which everything was done. I received many tips from my Host on Costa Rica.
