We really want to learn more about the culture of couch surfing, meet some great new people, exchange stories, and hopefully our hospitality can be reciprocated during our future travels.

Music, Movies, and Books

We enjoy going out and exploring local arts and music around the Twin Cities. Some of our favorite venues include the Turf Club, First Ave & 7th St Entry, 331 club, the Cedar Cultural Center, and Icehouse.

That being said, we love local music and can direct our guest to some really good shows on any given weekend. Some of our favorites include Charlie Parr, Caroline Smith, Trampled by Turtles, Dosh, Low, and Web of Sunsets.

There are two great independent movie theaters within walking distance from our place - The Lagoon Cinema and Uptown Theater. When we stay in we find the greatest 90's action flicks on Netflix such as Running Man, Face/Off, Con Air, and Taken.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of our favorite things to do every summer is to participate in a group bike ride from Minneapolis to Stillwater, a total of 10 hours of biking in two days. Each year a family farm in Stillwater puts on the Square Lake Festival, a festival of music and local film. After the long bike ride we set up our tents, lay out a blanket on the hill and enjoy hours of sun, music, and films.

Teach, Learn, Share

We can teach you about the best places to eat, drink and go out in Minneapolis and St. Paul.

Some of our favorite activities include going out and trying the newest craft breweries in the area. Within walking distance we have LynLake Brewery, East Lake Brewery and Sisyphus Brewing.
