Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Currently, to find a place to crash while I'm getting set up in CR.

When I'm accepting guests, which is obviously not right now, it's because I like meeting travellers and because this website saved my butt a couple of times when I was broke and travelling through Europe, so I feel like opening my doors is a way of repaying a sort of cosmic debt.

(From 2016, but most of this still holds up) Musical selections include Neil Young, the Pogues, Elvis Costello, Tom Waits. I like punk rock and hip hop and soul music. I’ve been watching a lot gangster and sci-fi classics lately, and nature documentaries. Some of my favourite authors are Joan Didion, James Joyce, Joseph Conrad, Dostoevsky, Zadie Smith!

I once caught a kid in my arms who slipped off the roof of a circus tent at a bluegrass festival, and without spilling my coffee!
