ABOUT ME

Raised in Illinois. Spent 2.5 years working with a conservation corps in Utah/Arizona/California -lots of hiking and camping. I am just a care-free guy enjoying my time on Earth. Love meeting new people and seeing new places. I like to relax, read, meditate, do yoga, chant, sing, dance, hike, camp, converse, and all that wonderful stuff. I just enjoy going with the flow and seeing where I end up. Its all about the journey.

I usually end up staying with hosts in the places I travel to. I haven't had a stable place to host people yet but I look forward to the day I do!

Interests

I love to read - mostly fiction - and enjoy the outdoors. I love to hike, camp, and bird-watch. I am into yoga and meditation as well. Eastern philosophy fascinates me. I like to discuss politics and human nature. I like to see new places and meet new faces. Cooking, gardening, volunteering, picking up trash, learning about other cultures.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really love folk, folk-rock, classic rock, jazz, new age, spanish guitar, classical, The Beatles! Not much of a movie watcher but I love independent films. Books blow my mind, I try to always have one handy. Anything from the Hobbit to Howl to 1984. Mostly novels or poetry but anything that interests you could interest me. I love to keep my mind open to anything.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Just breathing the air and sharing this adventure with you all is amazing!! Got to work in some beautiful places in the Western States mostly Utah, Arizona, California.

Teach, Learn, Share

Learning is wonderful. I hope to one day be fluent in espanol. Teach me anything you deem valuable and I will pass it on and cherish it. Anything dealing with the outdoors has a special place in my heart. Mother nature and I get along very well. Just beautifully.
