About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Petra, Jordan

ABOUT ME

Hi, my name is Dave.

Being used to the hotel type of travel through work and some previous travels; I was very reluctant of meeting and staying over with a stranger.

I didn't travel much before but as I progressed in my career, what is money when it takes away the joys of life? One day I read about the biggest regrets of people who were in their deathbed and it really hit me. The world is filled with adventure, rich in diversity and I've been blessed to have an opportunity to witness myself if I allow myself.

PHILOSOPHY
I wear two wristlands that reminds me no matter the challenges you encounter, your attitude is what makes you "unbreakable".

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm open to many different avenues.

I would say as a traveler, I would love be infused with the culture which may be surfing people's home to hosting travelers.

Life can be a journey...you go to the peaks of highs and then the lowest points of depth but no matter what your background, gender, culture, financially situation is...we have to go through that journey and we strive to come back better than ever.

2019:
Because of work, training, school for my Master's program, my schedule has been hectic as much as I love hanging out, my time is a bit limited these days.

I've received many requests so I give preference to those who are verified, have references, and have given back to the CS community (hosted before).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was actually introduced to couch-surfing through a friend. With much reluctance, I decided to try out and it was one of the best decisions I have made.

With a house; I've been lucky to be able to host some and even more lucky to have such great guest!

Interests

Meeting-up, dining, discussing local cultures, visiting new places.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiking Machu Picchu with Michael Jackson blasting away...no it was no easy moonwalk either but well worth it!

Teach, Learn, Share

My biggest lesson is no matter what your background, gender, culture, financially situation is...we all have the same challenges and similar aspirations.

We have the same want and the same sense of wanting to mean something during our time here. How we do it is the great thing about couchsurfing!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Been raised in the Bay Area so I know a lot of the tidbits of the Bay Area...dirty secret and all!
