About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Trying to find my way in this world after being studying and working for a lot of years want to enjoy just the moment.

ABOUT ME

I was born in Bilbao where i spent the first 18 years. I´m the oldest of three sisters (María, Marta e Irma) and one brother (José). I have eight little nephews and cause we all love eating and drinking we have food-meetings (jornadas gastronómicas) every month. We are very close. My parents live in Bilbao like i do now.
I used to be the traveller of my family, travelling every year when i was younger. Travel, work and study year after year. I love cycling and trecking (with my dogs)and need to see the sea as much as i can.
Four years after finished my doctorate i began working in Madrid.
Last nine years in Tenerife, Canary Islands. Now back in Bilbao

PHILOSOPHY

I think i´m just a good person, with very clear and strong ideals. The ones my parents leave to all my sisters and brother. That´s why we have a very good relationship. Be honest, respectful and trustworthy with everyone.
I feel that we all live in the same world and we are all equal so we must try everyday to improve life conditions for everyone. Sometimes i feel sad when i see so many bad things happening where i live (envy, corruption, racism) but i think most of us are good people.
Life is wonderful, let´s live it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

all my experiences have been giving accomodation to other couchsurfers. All very good. Even when i´m tired or ill the people who came here give me something. Hope i can give so much when i visit other homes.

I like people who cook and prepare dishes from their countriesÑ people who can stay at home listening to music, reading, talking, sharing good moments.

In Tenerife i had some bad experiences with people who use my flat as a place just to sleep and save money to go somewhere else. I´m not a teenager anymore and i need some respect.

Interests

Cycling, trecking, the sea, the mountains, cinema (if i can every week), reading (all the time)
I love cooking and go outside with my friends to drink good wine and beer.
Trying to see all my friends, i don´t want to miss contact with the ones i love.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love reading. Read everyday. Now i´m reading a lot of black literature. But i always like it: Agatha Christie, Simenon, Chandler, etc.
I like Dickens a lot.
My favourite books are The catcher in the rye and Pickwick´s papers. And latin american writers. Love Cortazar
Every week i go to the cinema. i love all kind of films if they are good. But love a lot old style. Ford, Welles, Huston, Capra, Hitchcock and so on and on.
I have about 600 vinyls and thousands of cds. Everything: jazz, bossa, rock, flamenco but my favourite are Dylan, Waits, Neil Young, Caetano Velosoand Miles Davis and many more

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

El camino de Santiago in october is fantastic. Spend few days in the forestt of Irati (Nabarra) is very helpful to know where we are.
I enjoy a lot my travel to the north of Argentina and Bolivia. Nice people, nice country.
The Bid Duna in the desert, the sunrise there with my friends.
And everyday watching and listening to the Cantabric sea, I love it

Teach, Learn, Share

cooking, cycling, photography, spanish, bask, a lot about cinema, books and music. about food and wine. Very good finding things in internet.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I used to have more time but now i have to wake up very early in the morning (05:30) so, usually, i have dinner soon and then i stay reading at home. I can not go during the week far from my neighborhood but i still like to go out for some beers.
