ABOUT ME

When I had children I realize that my identity had suddenly changes from "that guy" to "his father". Who I am is harder to describe than I would have thought initially.

Would someone like to know that I own my business? It's just me and not very exciting; I sell "sheet metal stuff" to contractors building commercial buildings primarily. It's not too exciting, but it pays the bills.

Perhaps my personal life and likes are more curious? I'm the father of three grown sons of whom I'm very proud of each. Divorced and still a little embarrassed by it.

Politically, while I think of myself as liberal, I'm told by my more conservative friends that I'm a bit more conservative than I would tend to believe about myself.

Appearance; well, a little short at 5'-7". I had been swimming with the Master Swimmers for years, but there are those few pounds I can't seem to rearrange. I've been letting my hair grow longer.

I like rock and roll, playing with my guitar, reading a little fiction and occasionally watching a little TV. I also have a weakness for Superman.

I only couchsurf occasionally. I'm not on a quest, so I don't travel as much as I might like. My apartment is small and I'm there erratically spending time between here and there.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had the pleasure of making friends with a great people in MN and TX. I'm usually on a "mission" when I arrive so I'm not looking for much more than a place to sleep and shower.

Interessen

I enjoy my 12-sting (acoustic), I'm just not sure anyone else would. I've discovered the joy of reading electronically - there's always a light.

Bernard Cornwell has captured my attention with his historic fictions of England - The Last Kingdom is a great place to start.

That's the problem with a quiet life... I witnessed my sons being born, but the amazing part was watching them grow up. I'll give this some more thought, I can't imagine my life has been that uneventful.
