ABOUT ME

David is always looking for adventure. He loves trying new foods, experiences and he has a love of language. David has been a professional artist since 1990.

Gwen loves hearing everyone's stories and believes she learns a lot about the world from listening. She is a avid writer and reader.

They've both lived all over the US and traveled through Europe in 2010.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Our couch is currently available. We live in Westerville, which is a small university town complete with cute shops. We are a twenty-minute drive from downtown Columbus, OH.

We hope to do more couchsurfing in the near future.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Our first experiece with couchsurfing was amazing. We stayed with a couple for 3 nights and now we're best friends! We also found a sublet for a couple of weeks in Brussels with a couchsurfer. We also stayed with a couchsurfer in Paris and in Dusseldorf. The couchsurfers we met are now lifelong pals!

Interests

We are very interested in music of all kinds, art, literature, languages, culture, history, cooking, drinking, and exploring. David is a dedicated photographer and artist. He has a unique way of seeing art everywhere. Gwen is always looking for stories and characters. Nothing is boring to her.

Music, Movies, and Books

Our favorite movies include: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Pan's Labrynth, and The Princess Bride. Our favorite music includes classic rock, punk, classical, folk, jazz, alternative, emo, um...everthing except pop country and rap.Our favorite books include: The Chronicles of Narnia, The Woman Warrior, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Thinner, Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit, and Fight Club.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing experience Gwen has had are with the random people she meets and the close relationships she has. She is always happily surprised at the generosity of others.

The most amazing experience David has had was when he was able to spend a month touring Italy. David was able to experience the Renaissance masters firsthand.

Teach, Learn, Share

We think this philosophy is awesome. We believe we can learn from everyone. David can teach Italian and American cuisine, art history and appreciation, drawing and painting, and amateur theology. Gwen can teach creative writing and can give a unique perspective into the American experience. Both David and Gwen are good conversationalists.
