Overview
About Me
Check: fosterthedifferences.com - a blog by me, where you would get to see through my mind.
ABOUT ME
- An Introvert (and at times pseudo-extrovert) guy, with a deep passion for people and society (in terms of making better life for people around me, but not yet to the wider society - I find myself lacking the confidence for anything bigger than my surrounding - and, hence, the blog).
- I tend to look at the world in positive way, most of the time, yet still feel uneasy every time I encounter a less than pleasant condition, e.g. I would try to find a solution to an issue but I still have the itch to "fix" the whole chain that caused the issue (to an extent that I might have insulted some).
- Well, I also try to avoid debating over unimportant, impractical, things, e.g. let's say that some people say their religions (and Gods) are better/truer than others, but because I found it of no importance to my life, let's just live and let live.
(Oh, I would still ask some simple practical logical questions just to gain more knowledge, or just to nudge the other person)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Based on information I got from hangout friends who are surfers, I signed up to see events nearby.
Initially I cannot host, but I've just moved to an apartment and I can host now.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Once surfed in Paris. Mostly only hanging out with the surfers/hosts in Jakarta.
Most time I went abroad, I live at my friends'. But, hey, I don't have friends all around the world (yet) :D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have no one exceptionally amazing thing (that I can think of), but some would be:
- Travelled solo twice to Europe and many times in Asia — making some friends on the road in each trip
- Looking into Bromo crates after walking the distance
- Laying on the sand on the beach, experiencing dark blue sky glittered by some sparkling stars,
- Blogging in my non-native language (it's hard for me!)
Teach, Learn, Share
Share:
- Ears to listen to your stories
- Language (Indonesian, a bit of Chinese and one of its dialect - Hokkian)
- HR thingy
- Tips on Indonesia (and other countries) I've been to
Learn:
- People and their behaviours
- How to relax a bit
What I Can Share with Hosts
People from all walk all life have something they can share, even the old lady who talks a lot can teach us if we listen.
Personally, I am good at probing and would be interested in discussing new things, taking your perspectives and blending it with mine.
Well, I could share how Indonesian lives (from the way we speak to the way we act); how an architecture student could end up being in Human Resources (it has a decade of history).
OK, I'll come up with more of this!
