ABOUT ME

Easy-going, witty and personable.
I was born and raised in Mexico City, and moved to Canada at the age of 19.
My life definitely changed since I moved to Canada, as I discovered how big the world was and how interesting learning from other ways of living is.
I work at the university and i really enjoy my job, which allows me to travel and help other students travel and study.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I normally i like to meet travellers who are interested in looking at Winnipeg from a local's perspective.
When I travel I like to do something similar, get to know your city from your own perspective - hangout in your local cafe, restaurants, drink some local brews.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Very positive, especially during the time I lived in London, Ontario. The CS community in that city was fantastic. It definitely made a difference during my year in Ontario.
Getting to know people and the stories behind themselves fascinates me.
Hosting other travellers and being hosted has been very rewarding, specially as later in life you get to see those people again.

I rarely read fiction.
Most of the books I read are about history, football (soccer) and international politics/development.

As for music - My favourite band is Radiohead, but I really enjoy most types of music: Indie, folk, salsa, cumbia, dance, house, etcs

I think there are movies for all occasions, when you need to debrief, when you need to cry, when you need to laugh, when you need to think...etc

I have been to the FIFA World Cups in 2010, 2014 & 2018

I've also lived in Chile, Malawi, Sweden, Mexico, Canada and now Ecuador. Those experiences have taught me a lot about myself.
