ABOUT ME
29 year old guy who likes to live my fullest life. Work for the UN and have been based in a number of countries including Yemen, Kenya, Afghanistan, and the US. Currently located in Pakistan for 2 years :)
PHILOSOPHY
I haven't really developed one yet, so instead I will put a few quotes down that I like to think about.
But let there be spaces in your togetherness and let the winds of the heavens dance between you. Love one another but make not a bond of love: let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls.
Wisdom ceases to be wisdom when it becomes too proud to weep, too grave to laugh, and too selfish to seek other than itself.
'Be yourself beautiful and you will find only beauty in the world'
The teacher who is indeed wise does not bid you to enter the house of his wisdom but rather leads you to the threshold of your mind.
The future belong to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams'
Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Maybe they have to be crazy.. because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do."

Interests
Anthropology!! I am really interested in concepts of western neocolonialism, and the monopoly on Middle Easter politics, with special relevance to oil politics in the Middle East and Nigeria, Global Trade Laws that restrict free trade movement on commodities, European subsidies/quotas for foreign imports and import duties on third world countries, GAP, commodification of food and water, Corporate control of pillars of power....I also have a massive interest in drama, world religions, with particular reference to the cradle of the middle east, with Judaism, Christianity and Islam and interrelations of the religions on the region. Travelling....really interested in travel, big cliche to say it 'broadens the mind' but it really does!
I love to socialise, like seriously socialize. I find its the best way to discover new things about people, the world and the realities around you.
I really enjoy reading with favorite authors being Edward Said, Tolstoy, Naom Chomsky, Khaled Hosseini, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Helen Fielding, Virginia Woolf, Gustave Flaubert, Fyodor Dostoevsky, Wilbur Smith and probably lots more I can't remember.
Sports wise I have to admit I am shamefully useless at things like football and Rugby, but I really enjoy swimming, dance and Horseriding....Just not at a particularly high level!!
