À propos de moi

ABOUT ME

I consider myself a chill and grateful person, a bit shy at first but friendly and loyal. I really enjoy spending time with family, friends and people I find interesting.

I've got a degree in dentistry, I´m an orthodontic specialist and currently studying a PhD in oral sciences; being helpful with people is the most rewarding feeling of my job.

I could literally live traveling, as everybody here haha, I do it everywhere and anytime I can and I try to find any place interesting, from a little town to a big city.

I'm pretty sure everyday is an opportunity to learn something from someone. I'm very committed with my goals and the things I want to get in life.

I like laid-back people, long and nice talks.

Crazy about beer, coffee and red wine! Always willing for a cup of ☕️.

Anyone is welcomed at my place as long as you are friendly and respectful. I'll treat you the way I'd like to be treated.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I think going to a new place is more about getting to know it's people, their culture and ideas and not just the famous buildings or monuments.

Couchsurfing happens to be an opportunity to see the world from the perspective of people who really knows a place.

Overall I'd like to have funny and great experiences wherever I go and also have the chance to make lifelong friends. I'm equally open to share my way of living, my customs and my home with cool people.

———————————————————————————————

In 2016 I had my first experiences being hosted in some cities in Europe and besides the amazing places, top rated attractions and the cool cities themselves I've been to, the most rewarding thing about the trip was all the people I met on the way.

I couldn't be more grateful by how unknown people can make you feel really at home, share their places, their lives and see the sites from a different perspective, not just the tourists' but the locals’.

In all my trips I keep proving what I heard from many people, magic stuff happen while traveling 🙌🏿.

I'm quite sure I want to carry on living the couchsurfing experience as much as I can, both sides of course and get the truly human face of exploring the world.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

Alternative and art films in general, top Miyazaki's, Godard's and Tarantino's movies. I could list a bunch of titles but it'd be very boring for you to read.

Pink Floyd, Daft Punk, Groove Armada, Animal Collective and blah blah blah.

My favourite book is Popol Vuh, I think the most important about Maya culture. I find it interesting because of the idiosyncrasy about creation and life in general. It's kind of back to basics and roots.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Maybe not amazing but diving cenotes in Mexico's Yucatán peninsula for me is a breathtaking experience that everyone should try at least once in life.

Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes

Even though my home city, Toluca, is not exactly a tourist city, I can show you around, maybe take you to the city center and visit some of the landmarks and traditional places or go to Metepec (where I actually live and I think it has cooler stuff to offer!) and give you a tour in the same way. There's a street where you can find a lot of handicrafts, made by local people, including a special one named "Árbol de la vida" (Tree of life), which is a clay sculpture representing the creation of life. You can google it to know what exactly I'm talking about 😉.

What truly deserves a special mention is Xinantécatl volcano (better known as Nevado de Toluca), which is Mexico's fourth highest peak with an elevation of 4,680 m. It offers some crazy views from it's top and you can also get to the crater lakes (sun and moon lakes) and enjoy the panoramic scene. It's worth a visit anytime of the year, but better during January, when it usually gets snow covered. If you come during the weekend we can plan a visit, maybe have a picnic there and if you are the runner type we can reach the lakes in that way.

Anyway if I'm not able to join you because of my occupations or your itinerary, I can always give some advise about transport, what to do, where to eat or anything you want to know about the city. Also meet to grab a beer or something :)
