Overview
About Me
When I was a child I lived in a farm, the kind of farm where we drank milk that came out of a cow that very morning, we ate fruits while sitting on a tree branch and went to get fish from a pond and not a market. We ran around all day climbing trees, playing with frogs and swimming in rivers.
As a teenager I lived in Elizabeth, New Jersey, a very urban setting, hip-hop and people from a lot of different countries and cultures in one school. Worked pretty much in all sorts of manual labor. From cutting down trees with chainsaws to paving streets. I like being outside and doing manual labor.
As an adult came back to Costa Rica, got re-acquainted with nature once again, started working office jobs and discovered Capoeira.
20 years later I have traveled to Brasil and 16 other countries to practice, share and transmit the positive vibes that capoeira offers.
The sum of all this is me today.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have learned that community, helping people just because, is truly one of the more important things in life.
I have traveled and found out first hand that to be welcomed by " a local" interested in discovering and helping with your life story can go a really long way, economically and socially.
I want to make other people's travels as nice as mine have been by having them over and helping them discover my home country.
Interests
I have practiced Capoeira for 13 years and teched for 8. I am currently in charge of Cordão De Ouro Costa Rica which is an international capoeira group present in more than 60 countries.
I love reading, just about anything, no genre in particular.
I love watching movies, sci fi, adventure, epic, anime, hollywood, independent just about anything.
Of course traveling, anywhere anytime, especially if there is capoeira.

I like learning about the places I visit, their history, why they do the things they do, about the local gastronomy and its people.

Respect, education and good manners first and foremost .
Respect for their home and belongings.
Education and good manners by receiving and giving in the best possible way, be it washing dishes, making the bed (or accepting there not being a bed), sweeping the floor, contribution to the living space to thank one good deed with another.
