I like seeing new things & meeting new people. That's pretty much what everyone who signs up to this site has in mind isn't it?? Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I wan't to travel the real parts of the countries I go to, the parts that aren't so much 'designed' with tourists in mind, but the natural or less explored areas. Couchsurfing provides a way to meet different people from different backgrounds and cultures at the same time. This website is a dream come true!

Interests

I'm interested in living my life to the best of my ability. Don't want to 'sleep in' anymore if you know what I mean? If that isn't a straight enough answer for you then find solace in knowing I'm quite a movie buff who plays music, enjoys a bit of traveling, reading and spending time with fellow humans :D

Music, Movies, and Books

I like mainly arts that make me think, or completely stop me from thinking. If it touches enough on either end of the spectrum it's usually worth the investment.

I'm not a huge reader but I'd love to find the peace and quiet to get back into it. The last really great book I read was David Mitchell's Cloud Atlas last year, if you haven't gave it a read it's definitely got something there for everyone.

Some of my favorite movies would be The Green Mile, The Big Lebowski, Memento, Anything by Wes Anderson, Anything by P.T Anderson, Anything by Scorsese, Most works of Kubrick, The Avengers (the whole universe is escapism at its very best). Some of my favourite movies from this year (2014) would be Gone Girl, Nightcrawler, The Grand Budapest Hotel, What we do in the Shadows, Guardians of the Galaxy and St. Vincent.

Music is important to me and my tastes vary widely accordingly. Whatever our mood dictates and whatever dictates our mood is usually how we go about deciding what we want to hear. I started out as a huge heavy metal enthusiast but my tastes have expanded and settled down a bit over the years. I'm mainly a fan of rock, jazz, funk and 90's rap (although some more modern efforts are really starting to tick the boxes too)

The best way to get to know my tastes is really in person, summarizing years of art consumption into this box is not something I find easy!
